Mohammadreza received his PhD in Operations Research from University at Buffalo (UB) SUNY in 2016 under the supervision of Dr. Alex Nikolaev and Dr. Rakesh Nagi. Prior to joining UB, he received his B.S. (summa cum laude) and M.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran, in 2009 and 2011, respectively. His main research interests are large-scale optimization, statistical learning and social network analysis. He has applied these and other operations research methods to study problems in various domains including marketing, transportation and healthcare.
At SOLLAB, Mohammadreza mainly focused on Social Network Analytics. His work on controlling campaigns in social networks bridges the gap between analytics and social sciences to optimize the marketing campaigns' profit.
Mohammadreza is currently an Operations Research & Advanced Analytics consultant at American Airlines, where he applies large-scale optimization, predictive analytics and machine learning to improve the operation of the world's largest airline. Fleet retirement optimization, predictive maintenance and social media analytics are among major applications of his work at American Airlines.
